Eliana is a Yoga for Cancer-certified instructor who specializes in helping people with cancer at all stages of the process, from initial diagnosis, through the treatment phase, and on to survivorship. As a therapeutic yoga instructor for Memorial Healthcare System, she teaches between four and six weekly classes for cancer patients, and is experienced in understanding patients’ medical histories; common cancer surgeries and treatment plans; related side effects; and common quality of life concerns.

Working collaboratively with clients and their medical teams , Eliana can design a yoga sequence to relieve common complaints including: neuropathy, edema, bone loss, joint pain, post-operative tightness and weakness, and weight gain. In addition, many of Eliana’s clients find yoga to be extremely effective at reducing anxiety related to ongoing procedures and fear of cancer recurrence.
